Years In CINEMA AND LITERATURE
~"Life is not just a passing of time. Life is the collection of experiences and their intensity." - Jim Rohn~
I truly believe that cinema and literature reflect the human condition and the experiences we face -- making them not only essential to our lives, but throughout the passage of time. Here in the years blog I reflect on the films and or books that were a personal highlight in each given year. In compiling my favorite art from the recent years I was unable to find much consistency. However I do know this: No matter the year, nor the situation that one is facing, we all, as humans, desire good stories. In the film Dead Poet's Society, starring Robin Williams, his character so eloquently puts, "Medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits, and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we live for." So here's to making each year worth living for.
